Remedial Body Work Therapy:
Remedial Body Work is a combination of Relaxation, Therapeutic Body Work, and Remedial techniques. The Remedial technique is more advanced. The therapist is trained to deal with specific pain, injury, referred pain, and emotional release.
The therapist is trained in the art of Deep Tissue Body Work, (this is different from deep tissue massage, ) Emotional release pain therapy, the Rehabilitation of injuries, Ligament/ Tendon and Muscle release work, Vertebrae realignment, Muscle fibre release, The Gentle Adjustment Process and Stretch and Exercise Programs.
Clients who have been scheduled for potentially dangerous, invasive procedures ( Carpal Tunnel, spinal hip, knee and neck operations ) have not always needed them. Leg, hip, back, shoulder and neck pain can be rehabilitated after only a few Remedial Body Work sessions.
In Remedial Body Work the client is involved in the therapy, they are in team-work with the therapist. This form of Bodywork empowers the client as they are given control over their process, the therapist is the instrument and facilitator of this process. It is therefore non-invasive and is without struggle. The body is respected. Because of this process it is less likely to cause any damage to the tissue, for example bruising. Therefore this is an effective, two way process involving giver and receiver.
